TOPIC: BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS
TEXT: MATTHEW 5:9
Peace is the state of tranquility, quietness, calmness and harmony. It may be calmness and stability in the midst of storm or problem.
Peacemaker is a person who brings or restore peace, especially by reconciling adversaries.
A child is a product of a place , culture or a member of a tribe regardless of age. Children are also the heritage of God. As Christians we are citizens of heaven ( Phil 3:20, Ps 127:3).
Christ being the prince of peace reconcile men back to God through his precious blood. He then gave us the ministry of reconciliation. “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God” (Matt 5:9). They shall be called the children of God because peacemaking is the character of God 2Cor. 5:18-19.
Even though our sonship as Christian is base on our faith in what Christ did on the Cross, people around us can only recognize this through our character.
Peace being part of the fruit of the Spirit can be expressed through lowliness, meekness, long-suffering, and forbearance ( Eph 4:1-4).
As Christian we manifest peace as character because is in us. Thank you.
