TOPIC: BLESSED ARE THEY WHICH ARE PERSECUTED
TEXT: MATTHEW 5:10
Blessed and happy and enviably fortunate and spiritually prosperous (in the state in which the born-again child of God enjoys and finds satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of his outward conditions) are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake (for being and doing right), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven! (Matt. 5:10 amp)
Persecution may be an act of harassing or oppressing a person based on his/her faith or way of life.
Persecution is what is accompany with Christianity because the way they live contradict the world system. The world tends to hate, reject, despise, and frustrate Christian because their life( right standing with God) judge their unrighteousness.
When Christians are persecuted they count it all Joy by the help of the Holy Spirit, though it is hard on them yet there is Joy from within.
Mark 10:29-10
29. And Jesus answered and said, Truly I say to you, There is no man that has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,
30. But he shall receive an hundred times now in this time, houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
Believers have much more than what they loss in the world in Christ.
In conclusion, The Beatitudes intertwined. The kingdom of heaven belongs to those who are persecuted like wise the poor in spirit. A Christian can’t just decided to choice a fruit of the spirit and neglect others. They have all the fruit of spirit in them. The more they inclined to the spirit the more they manifest their real nature and Identity.
