TOPIC: BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL

Mercy is the act of withholding judgement from a sinner or an offender. It is a forbearance and act of forgiveness. Mercy is the feeling that motivate compassion. Psalm 51:1
Mercy is the character of God. From the old testament to the new testament of the Bible, God deals with humanity with mercy. God’s judgement towards man is with mercy (Micah 7:18).
Mercy is express in love, long-suffering, loving kindness, compassion, forgiveness, patient, and lot more. All these are expressed by God to humanity. Mercy brought about grace (Heb 4:16). Mercy has nothing to do with your qualification. Showing mercy is by choice. (Exo 33:19).
A natural man may express mercy base on previous doing but As Christian, showing mercy to people is expected our natural life because it is the character of Christ who is in us.
How we express mercy as a Christian:
- Act of forgiveness (Matthew 18: 21-35)
- Showing love
- Giving
- Preaching gospel (Mark 6:34)
- Interceding
- Patient
- Long-suffering e.t.c.
Reason for mercy is to change and transform life.
