AGAPE – GOD’S LOVE

ABBA’S LOVE NEVER DIES

Abba’s love never dies, it is called agape. It is not expressed because the receiver merits it; rather, It is expressed out of choice to the unworthy. It is such that lays down His best to deliver the useless. This kind of love is divine and not natural. It’s beyond the natural man’s expressions.

Agape is God’s nature which he chose to express at the detriment of His son’s life.

Check these two bible verses out:

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1John 3:1 – Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

This love is a choice He made to deliver humanity from the bondage of sin. Somebody might say: what does this have to do with me?  Then, you need to see these:

Rom. 3:23 – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Eph. 2:3 – Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

I want you to take note of the word “all” in the above verses, and its state. All men that are yet to embrace the extension of God’s love through the sacrifice of Christ on the cross are sinners, therefore are dead; not a natural death but spiritual death. I must tell you this;  you are not a sinner by what you do, but rather a sinner by nature. None of your good works can earn you deliverance from this sinful nature and give you eternal life. Jesus paid it all, He dealt with sin on your behalf, right on the cross. He had been risen for your justification. Abba’s love did a complete work through Christ.

Rom. 3:24 – Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Rom. 3:25 – Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Jesus has the power to lay down His life and to take it, but willingly laid it down so that you will not perish in your sin. Love nailed Him to the cross. The reason for this is for you to become a child of God. If millions of people receive Him today, there is power in Christ to make them sons of God. John 1:12 – But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Maybe you have never felt real love before, I must tell you God has loved you before the foundation of the world. He could not spare his son, for your sake; what love can be greater than this. Rom. 5:8 – But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Will you embrace His love for you today by accepting Him as the one who has paid for your salvation? Jesus is right there with you, believe and confess Him as your Lord and saviour. Stay blessed.
