STABLE AND PROSPEROUS FINANCIAL LIFE

God’s desire for us as believers is for us to prosper even as our souls prosper, and we see it expressed in various verses of the Scriptures, for it is God who richly supplies us with good things to enjoy, and gives us ability to get wealth.

However, as believers, we often make the mistake of under-estimating God through our unbelief or exalting mammon above God, both of which result into living an impoverished life as a Christian.

Below, are tips to consider in experiencing financial stability as God as ordained:

  1. Don’t eat your seed and sow your bread; rather eat your bread and sow your seed. Know when and what to save and spend. Isaiah 55:10
  2. Set Priorities: First plant your fields, then build a barn. Get your fields ready and plant your crops before starting a home. Proverbs 24:27
  3. Make a Budget: The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty. Proverbs 21:5
  4. Avoid Debt: The poor are ruled by the rich, and those who borrow are slaves of moneylenders. Proverbs 22:7
  5. Make a Financial Plan: The wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down. Proverbs 21:20
  6. Give generously: Be comfortable with giving. He who sows sparingly shall reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully shall reap bountifully. 2Corinthians 9:6
