Day 29 – Accepting your Assignment

We have called to make a difference, we have an assignment to do and to fulfill, this can be done in service or ministry. Part of your purpose is service, you were saved to serve. Ministry is for every Christian not for some set of people, every one that has a part in Christ must be prepared to take up their cross and follow Jesus, lovingly serving the master and others.
Our maturing and growth is to the end that we help others, there is a quota you have been called to contribute, you were not called to take up space in the kingdom and not be a contributor, anyone that is not contributing to the growth of the church is not really part of the church, there are good works that you have been called to do, God’s investment in us should yield much more. Salvation came with a cost, we must not then become unthankful by living for ourselves.
Every member of the body must function in other to make the body effective it is our responsibility, therefore service is not an option for us; moreover service prepares us for our heavenly home, we are storing up treasures for ourselves there, our services before God are noted and by them we will made to give account. Our relevance is therefore dependent on our serving which must be borne with a true and sincere heart.

Point to Ponder: Service is not optional.
Verse to Remember: “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to
do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
(NIV)

Question to Consider: What is holding me back from accepting God’s call to
serve him?
