Day 23 – How We Grow

Growth is a major evidence of the workings of Christ in and through you.
The desire of God for every Christian is that we mature. Maturity can achieved through discipleship- which is constant, consistent and stepwise.

Our commitment shows how ready we are to grow, it also proves our desire for growth.
There’s help by the Holy Spirit who is at work in us which in turn is worked out by us, it is a joint work, the Holy Spirit at work in us and we working out the workings of the Spirit.
There’s a need for renewal of mind to what God wants, a man that seeks to grow must seek the renewing of his mind.

There has to be a change of thoughts which affects the attitude and acts.
You cannot be thinking in the former old selfish way and expect an outward growth of the new man. You must set outside the childish thoughts and begin to think in a Christlike manner.

The major evidence of growth is that your heart becomes set on things above and you begin to think more about others than your self.

Thinking About My Purpose

Point to Ponder: It is never too late to start growing.

Verse to Remember: “Let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God-what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.” Rom. 12:2b (TEV)

Question to Consider: What is one area where I need to stop thinking my way and start thinking God’s way?
