DAY 7 – THE SECRET OF REFUGE
There is a place of refuge from the storms of life and that place is inevitably the secret place; Our Secret Place. There is a place where God hides his beloved when storms are raging and that place is in the sanctuary of his presence. Even King David realized that the secret place is a shelter from the swirl of emotions and troubles constantly bombarding him and we as Christians of today have to come into that reality as well.
We have to see our secret place as a place of safety as it is an embodiment of the presence of God, and this secret place a a place of refuge is also where we regain strength, get renewed and come out fresh against the battles set before us.
The Secret place is like the eye of the storm, it’s a place of inner peace and rest. The secret place doesn’t stop the storm. In fact the storm escalates when we run to our secret place which actually discourages many Christians but we have to remember that God is still God over our lives and He will not permit anything that is outside of His will for you.
Psalm 91 remind us that he who dwells in the secret place shall abide under the shadow of the almighty which means we can only find God’s will in our secret place. Even if our brethren fall by our side . So far we’re faithful in dwelling in our secret place Nothing will come against us. If God be your refuge you must run to Him.
