JUST A PRAYER

Jan

Disturb us oh Lord;

When we are too well pleased with ourselves;

When our dreams have come true because we dreamed so little;

when we have arrived safety because we soiled too close to shore;

Disturb us oh Lord;

When in the abundance of things we  have;

We have lost our thirst for the matter of life;

When having fallen in love with time, we ceased to dream of eternity;

And in our effort to build a new earth,

Have allowed our vision of heaven to grow dim.

Stir us up oh Lord;

To dream and dare more boldly,

To venture into wider seas,

Where storms shall test thy mastery,

Where loosing sight of land we find stars,

In the name of him that push back the horizon of our help,

And invited the brave to fellow him.
