Day 11

TOPIC: GOD REVEALS HIMSELF, HIS PURPOSES, AND HIS WAYS

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not My ways. (Isaiah 55:8)

Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord… He will teach us about His ways so we may walk in His paths. (Micah 4:2)

The thoughts of the Lord and His ways is not the same with man. God knows Himself and He knows man more than we could fathom our true identity but we cannot know God expect He reveal Himself to man, because His thoughts and ways is not the same as man’s thoughts and ways. One of the way we can know the nature of God is when His chose to reveal Himself through the Holy Spirit, this is the primary purpose of what the Holy Spirit was meant to achieve in our lives as believers.

The Holy Spirit helps us to understand the nature of God and reveal His purpose to us. Whenever God speaks through the Holy Spirit, He tends to reveal His character to us, He also reveal Himself when He wants to get men to work in partnership with Him to bring to pass His eternal purpose here on earth. God revealed Himself so men can come to Him and believe Him in faith as to who He is. When He revealed Himself, He wants us to believe by faith of who He says He is so we can experience Him in our lives.

Another purpose why God revealed Himself is so we can know His purpose and plans for our lives. He has plans for us but our plans are not His plan, if we would live a fulfilled live as He has planned His eternal purpose for us then He revealed Himself so as to show us His plans and purposes for our lives.

God wants us to know Him and follow Him. As He speaks to us, He
reveals His nature so we can have faith to trust Him in the assignment He
calls us to do. He reveals His purposes so we will become involved in His
work and not just dream up plans of what we will do for Him. God reveals His ways so He will accomplish His work through us in a manner that gives
Him glory and shows that He is God.
