EXPERIENCING GOD

DAY 16

TOPIC: GOD’S INVITATION LEADS TO A
CRISIS OF BELIEF

Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those who seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)

This is the point of absolutely believing the Lord for the impossible or becoming rational in one’s thinking, when the Lord gives us anything, be it a promise, a word, an assignment and so on, it is usually over-sized, you could barely wrap your head around the possibility, it is at this junction that we experience a crisis of belief of either relying on the One that has called totally to bring the word, promise or assignment to completion from start to finish or help Him do something about it.
What do we believe about God? We must always be conscious of this truth that it is God that is involved not man, every standard is by Him not ours and His standard is Faith.
How we respond to God’s revelation of who He is to us and through us is by Faith, the natural loving wants to take away faith from the equation and it is a safe kind of living, and God will do everything to shake us out of our comfort zone because we were made for more, we were made to depend on Him.
Having Faith is not the deal itself but on whom, our Faith is only Faith if it is in God alone, Faith is not an idea or a concept, it is our experience with the sovereign God, it is the evidence of the relationship between mortal man and the divine God. Faith makes us to only act in obedience in the direction of what God is saying, this is our response to Him, our disobedience to God’s word to us proves our lack of Faith.
To fill in the God-sized words, assignments and purposes we must step out in Faith, what God would tell us to do is always humanly impossible whether small or great, it takes Faith to align with God.
The world would only come to know and believe in God once they begin to see Him at work not us, this is the reason He gives us God-sized assignments through which men are drawn to Him.
Joining the Lord as a co-laborer requires both Faith and action, our words of Faith must be backed up with actions, we mist allow God to be revealed in the God-sized assignments He has committed into our hands, we must not run or shy away from this because how we respond to Him determines what we believe about Him, it might be tough or hard but it is for His glory and for our blessing.
Shalom
