Day 26 – Growing through Temptation
Temptation is a reality that every man faces but the good thing about it are these – Temptation brings out the power of choice in us, we were all giving the power of choice and every choice we make is solely our doing, we have the grace to choose right even in the midst of temptation.
Temptation brings about a proven character, an affirmation about our person, we don’t really know who we really are, facing temptations exposes our desires, tendencies and weaknesses and by this we learn dependence on God. For us to be like Christ, we must be proven.
Our not yielding to temptation is by recognizing our person’s tendency, be prepared and daily enlist the Spirit’s help.
Remember it is to the end that you grow, therefore we ought to see every temptation in this light, not becoming confident in the flesh but totally becoming dependent on Christ.
Point to Ponder: Every temptation is an opportunity to do good.

Question to Consider: What Christlike character quality can I develop by defeating the most common temptation I face?
