Day 17 – A place to belong
We were called out of darkness to become part of a body called the light. This light is Christ ‘s church, the church is more than what we presume her to be, the church is Christ’s body, Christ’ s bride.
Our purpose as a Christian can never be fully utilized and discovered in isolation, Christ has saved us to be members of His body and just as a member of our physical body cannot be alone and survive also you cannot achieve fellowship outside the body and survive.
It is therefore necessary to find your place in a local group of believers- i.e your local church and belong there, become active and contribute your quota to their growth.
The Church consisting of like-minded people fulfills a very role if every member participates and dispensed their God-given assignment.
Don’t miss out on your specific assignment because you refuse to belong to your local church, there is an assignment committed to your hands that you have to do to help the growth of the church, you benefit more as you participate in your local church. In this chapter, you’ll learn the purposes of God which are identical to his five purposes for you- worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, evangelism. Stop being a church attender and get right to belonging to your church fully committed to God and the members of His body.
Point to Ponder: I am called to belong, not just believe.

Question to Consider: Does my level of involvement in my local church demonstrate that I love and am committed to God’s family?
