DAY 41 – THE SECRET OF STANDING

When someone enters the secret place, they are standing on the sea of glass in the Spirit with all the saints and looking at the One who is seated on the throne (Revelation 15:2). They are exactly in front of the throne despite the fact that their eyes are covered and they cannot see Him with the normal eye. Being able to worship their Father and King while standing in front of the raging flames of God’s presence is the ultimate honor for all of creation. To stand, even while being bound, in the face of battle, opposition, hassles, exhaustion, distresses, temptations, personal failure and collapse, sadness, and loneliness! To stand, even when being bound, amidst conflict, opposition, hassles, exhaustion, distresses, temptations, personal failure and collapse, sadness, and loneliness! To persevere in the face of the cross, the Lamb, His adoration, His acceptance, His powerful strength inside, springs of live water gushing forth from the depths of His being, and His immeasurable glory and beauty.

God wants us to service to Him while standing before Him, and that He flips the proverbial phrase, “Don’t just do something, stand there!” He commands us to wait on Him, serve Him, and bless other people in His name until He speaks. He also exhorts us to stand before Him to serve Him, bless others in His name, and carry His presence on our shoulders.

The narrative relates Elijah’s experience being placed under house imprisonment for three years when there was a famine. He had the fortitude to just stand before his God and serve Him. The Bible reveals that God is surrounded by powerful angels who, in some circumstances, wait for Him for hundreds of years. The author was informed by the Holy Spirit that God needs our availability more than our strength. He just wants us to be in His presence, look at Him, adore Him, and carry out His commands when He gives them. God wants our availability more than our strength. Are you in between projects? Then simply approach Him, enjoy Him, and allow Him to enjoy you.
