DAY 39 – THE SECRET OF PURSUING TRUE RICHES
The secret place is pursued by those with an eye for spiritual treasure. The time spent elsewhere might help us earn earthly wealth but from eternal perspective,there are things we value so much more, such as wisdom, understanding and knowledge of Christ. Wise people are seekers of God.
When we seek to “get wisdom”,
-We are pursuing Jesus Himself because wisdom is a person (1corinthians 1:30)
-We are also pursuing Holy Spirit fullness, for wisdom is a Spirit (Isaiah 11:2). Wisdom is truly to be valued above gold and silver. To be a person of wisdom and understanding is to be a seeker of God. People of understanding have come to understand the nature of true spiritual treasure because they are God seekers.
True riches are the wisdom and knowledge of Christ. Jesus talks about true riches in Luke 16:11, that if we are not found faithful in our handling of unrighteous earthly money, then God will not entrust us with true riches.
True riches are treasure found in the knowledge of Christ. They are wisdom, knowledge and understanding of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
There are great riches to be mined in the secret places of the Most High. May God help us to value the treasures that are hidden in Him and grant us appetite to seek Him accordingly. May God give unto us the spirit of wisdom and revelation, that our eyes of understanding might be enlightened that we might know Him.
